How to Safely Operate Self Loading Concrete Mixer Truck

The main structure of the self loading concrete mixer truck consists of a walking chassis, an engine, a hydraulic torque converter, front and rear double drive axles, a feeding device, a feeding hopper, a discharging hopper, an extended discharging hopper, a frame, a mixing drum, and a special reducer for mixing, hydraulic system, electronic control system, automatic water supply system and other components. So do you know how to ensure its safe operation?

Double helical blades are set on the inner wall of the mixer drum, and the forward rotation is for feeding and concrete mixing; the reverse rotation, driven by the helical blades, the concrete is discharged from the discharge port. The safety operation specifications of self-loading mixer trucks are introduced as follows:

1. After unloading at the construction site, the feeding hopper, discharge hopper, discharge chute, etc. should be washed immediately with the hose provided with the self loading transit mixer to remove the sludge and concrete adhering to the body.

On the way back to the mixing station, 150-200L of water should be injected into the mixing drum to clean the concrete residue bonded by the drum wall and the blades.

2. After ending the daily work, the driver should be responsible for injecting clean water into the mixing drum and rotating at high speed (14-18 rpm) for 5-10 minutes, and then draining the water to ensure the cleaning of the drum.

When cleaning each part of the mixing drum with high pressure water, avoid the instrument and the joystick and other parts. The distance between the pressure water nozzle and the painted surface of the vehicle body shall not be less than 40 cm.

3. When removing the dirt accumulated inside and outside the mixing drum and the remaining concrete slag, and when the mechanic enters the drum for maintenance and welding repair work, it is necessary to turn off the self mixing concrete truck first to make the mixing drum completely stop rotating.

During the working period of the mechanic entering the drum, it should be ensured that the mixing drum is well ventilated. Operators should have good insulation protection when using power tools in the barrel.

4. During working,do not put your hand into the rotating mixing drum, and it is strictly forbidden to put your hand into the connection part of the main discharge chute and the extended discharge chute.
